Well my friends, it's been fun, but I'm afraid it's time to say goodbye. The Square Root of Xero is officially dead. I know it's only been 6 days, but I guess I've grown attached to the little guy. But it's over now. Time to move on to bigger and better things. And by better, I mean Duality. The latest and greatest in blogging technology just begging to be read. Now I know, it may not look like much right now, but give it time, my children. All beautiful things need time to blossom. For now, however, this site will still be used, but less and less. Once the power of the Duality battlestation is fully operational, those rebels wont know what hit em! *cough* I mean once Duality is fully up and running, you'll all need to venture over there for your daily dose of me. Plus I share the space with Q. Double trouble!

Anyway, thanks for all the memories. I'll cherish them forever. ehhh...well at least till I move out of this dump of a blog. Thank you :)

Now With Furniture!

Today I started making furniture! I still need the TV and Nibbler's cage. I was also thinking of putting some sort of cloth on the beds, but that'll be decided later. Anyway, enjoy the next round of photos.

I started the model tonight and I thought I'd show how it's coming along. Please keep in mind that these were taken with a rather cruddy webcam and dont do the model justice. Later this weekend I'll be making furniture and other things to fill the room, but so far I have to say that it looks awesome!

Change of Plans

As most of you know, on Wednesday I became the Sound Technician for Davis' upcoming dance show. However, since then, I've been talking with the stage manager and it seems that they need a Sound Designer even more. So I'm talking to her about what exactly that might entail and if it sounds doable then I'll probably switch over. Anyway, I'll keep ya posted ;)

Every couple of months I find my way over to apple's movie trailer site (http://www.apple.com/trailers/) and I pick out a couple that particularly caught my eye. Here are some that I think any self respecting movie-goer should be excited to see.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride - For those of you who are fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas, this movie may look very familiar to you. Aside from that, it's awesomeness is heightened by having Johnny Depp in it. As for the story, well just watch the trailer.

Kung Fu Hustle - The director and star of this movie has been making films in China for a long time, and a few have come to the states. The last one that I know of was Shoalin Soccer and it was such an amazing movie. Now he's back and the trailer looks awesome.

Unleashed - Wow. Jet Li can act! Or at least it looks that way. Regardless, this movie is looking amazing. Plus it has Bob Hoskins, the guy from Who Framed Roger Rabbit (one of my all time favorites). Morgan Freeman is also in this one. If the movie is even half as good as this trailer makes it out to be, then this is definitely a contender for best movie of the year.

The Pink Panther - When I first heard that they were doing a remake of The Pink Panther I was mortified. As a huge fan of the original I feared that they would destroy it. After watching the trailer I'm still a bit worried about it, but it's given me a bit of faith. Steve Martin seems to do a decent job and some of the physical gags are still there. We'll find out how bad it's going to be when it comes out later this year.

Sin City - Although I never watched Sky Captain and the World of Tommorow, these two films have something in common. The actors are filmed entirely in front of a green screen and then everything else is put in afterwards. In this case its created an incredible comic book feel to the whole thing. You should at least watch the trailer.

These are some of the most noteworthy, in my opinion. Let me know what you think of them.

Just thought I'd drop a line to all the Chinese people out there. Happy New Year! See, I remembered this year! Last year I had a rather embarrassing incident. Around midnight of some evening in February, people started setting off fireworks in the apartment complex. Being the 'not paying attention to current events' person I was, I went outside and yelled at them all to stop. The next day I was telling a friend of mine what had happened and he said "Well...yeah, it was Chinese New Years last night." Damn...I don't think I'd ever felt like a bigger ass. Anyway, so this year I was intent on remembering and I did. So Happy New Year. Hope everything's all good. ;)

Davis' Newest Techie

Waking up this morning, I had no idea that I would be in the position I am right now. In my DRA25 class someone announced that the upcoming dance show "Loser" still needed several key crew positions filled. Now, according to my graduation plan, I shouldn't start doing shows until next quarter, but I figured, what the hell, sounds like fun. So, I signed up, got the paperwork done and am now the Sound Board operator (or Sound Technician) for Loser (yeah, I'm sure the jokes will be coming soon). Anyway, this is uber-exciting for me, so just thought I'ld share it with the rest of you. Yeah, all four readers ;)

Life, in 1/2" scale

I've got this odd project due next wednesday. I have to make a 1/2" scale model of my bedroom. Will I include the hot model the sleeps on my bed with me, you ask? No, I think that the bed itself will be enough, but thanks for showing interest.

Anyway, so now i've got to go measure out my room and everything in it, draw up blueprints, and then actually construct the dang thing. Yeah...fun for the whole family. Oh well, it probably wont be that bad. I'll try to take some pictures and post 'em when it's all done. For now, I'm off to relax before my incredibly boring music class (a topic for another day.)

Well, this was going to be a rant about how I never seem to get emails from my group members in class, but right before writing this, lo and behold, it showed up. A bit late for a project due tommorow morning, wouldn't you think? Anyway, it's time to "memorize" my script, containing such oscar award winning lines as "Unity, Harmony, Contrast, Variation, Balance, Proportion and Emphasis. Uncle Herb Chased Veronicas Begle Prior to Eating.- I dunno."

Behold! My simplistic glory!

Well, here we go again. It's been almost two and a half years since I last tried any sort of 'blogging'. Lets hope that during that time, a bunch of great material has been brewing inside me just waiting to come out. I doubt it, but we can always hope. Anyway, with this, I hope to...well, talk and get my random thoughts out. These thoughts may include subjects ranging from games to anime to cartoons (yes there is a difference, but thats a subject for another time) to school to work to life to whatever the hell else I feel like talking about.

Sooo! Get ready for a thrilling ride and an exciting new adventure. It may suck, it may rock, but either way lets do this together. And by together, I mean...just sit there and read this.
